How Good Is the Espresso?
Independent reviewers rate it highly for the price. CyberShack in Australia called the shots “excellent, consistent”.
Expert Reviews in the UK timed double shots at about 27 to 29 seconds. Single shots were less consistent in their test.
How Good Is the Milk?
Owners and reviewers rate the milk as its strongest point. The Dual Froth System textures milk in the jug without you holding a steam wand.
Expert Reviews found steaming stopped at about 65°C for dairy and 60°C for plant milk. Dairy and oat milk worked well. Almond and soy came out thinner.
What Do Owners Complain About?
On ProductReview.com.au, owners rate it 3.4 out of 5 from 11 reviews (checked 25 October 2026). Milk frothing scored best.
The common complaints were:
- The drip tray fills fast. CyberShack and Expert Reviews say this too.
- Some owners reported faults or leaks within weeks.
- Several owners said Ninja customer service was slow.
- It is a big machine, and the milk jug takes space too.
Bought in New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantees Act covers you if a machine fails too soon. That applies on top of the 24-month warranty.
Ninja Luxe Café Premier vs Breville the Barista Express

- Pick the Barista Express if you want a classic manual steam wand and a long track record. Read our Barista Express section.
